'Complicity with Evil'
Today is Holocaust memorial day, a day to remember those who lost their lives due to the genocide that happened during world war two. This week I finished reading a book called ‘Complicity with Evil’, it details the failure of the United Nations (the organisation set up with the principle of ensuring the holocaust never happened again) in the age of recent genocide.

Sunday Morning Thoughts
Another weekend pulls to close to a blistering end. And tomorrow we shall all be forced back into our various weekly activities, activities that mean some of us fail to interact with those few people we love the most, activities that are, for a lot of people, a complete waste of time.
None of us like to believe we are followers in a system, nothing more than robots filling in and out of our...

Forgive my constant frustration
And the bluntness in my words
my constant berating of humanity
the misanthrope that often lurks,
All I wish is for a more perfect union
for man, woman, boy and girl.
When you watch people dance, you see the loss of inhibition, an often euphoric type of freedom. For a lot of people it’s the only time they ever really lose their self-control. They let it all hang out, no shame, no embarrassment, their guard is let down, the walls are shattered, happiness fills them.
It’s kind of beautiful.

I write to express concern about a new bill before the Iranian Parliament that contravenes Iran’s international human rights obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Thoughts Like Poems
Sometimes when my feelings make no sense to me
I figured that my mind works poetically
Not taking every thought for its literal meaning
But a license to explore those deep an crazy feelings
At times the thoughts can be short and sweet
Reminiscent of a sonnet
Or delve in to the harsh reality of this world
Exploring critically an sarcastically
The craziness of this place we call earth
At...

What could ever be in a kiss?
She asked
And I did nothing but laugh
Then I moved in close
Paused for a second as I felt her trembling hand reach for my face
I leant into her and firmly planted my lips upon hers
Letting them linger as our secrets transferred

I’m a ‘liberal’, a wooly one if you like, I believe in free-speech. I don’t believe in free-speech which allows you to say whatever you want, a contradiction you say, well no, not really, as any person who actually knows law will tell you that freedom of speech is not an absolute right. And neither should it be, unbridled expression would cause people no end of harm and...

inmost-ordinary replied to your post: Trains of thought (emotion)
Being able not to be overwhelmed by your emotions is good, but by being too rational sometimes you cut yourself from your deep impulses and intuitions… It doesn’t mean that you have to follow them, just listen to them, acknowledging them.
I don’t think we should be robots, just that exercising control over emotions is good...
Trains of thought (emotion)
Emotions. As a boy, I wore my heart on my sleeve. Every emotion had to be expressed, every word had to be said, every feeling had to be heard and seen, my emotions controlled me. I grew up, I became wise, I watched others and analysed myself, I tucked my heart in my sleeve and there it has remained ever since. I have not lost passion, I have more passion than ever, I am not heartless, I can...
